Southeast Anatolia Education, Science and Culture Program (04–08 May 2026)

The Atatürk Kültür Merkezi Başkanlığı (Atatürk Cultural Center Presidency) is planning to organize the “Southeast Anatolia Education, Science and Culture Program” between 04–08 May 2026, covering the provinces of Mardin, Batman, Diyarbakır, and Şanlıurfa. The program aims to provide early-career scholars with the opportunity to conduct on-site observation and field-based examination within the framework of the institution’s statutory mandate. Participation is fully funded. Applicants will be selected from among Master’s and PhD students in Departments of Art History whose thesis research focuses primarily on: Artuqid-period Anatolian architecture and ornamentation, and/or Seljuk-period architecture and decorative arts. In order to initiate the nomination process, departments are requested to submit the names and contact details of two eligible candidates, entered into the attached form, to the Atatürk Cultural Center Presidency no later than 30 March 2026.
