Within the framework of the Wednesday Talks organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Karabük University, a presentation titled “The Place of Azerbaijan in the History of Turkish Culture and Literature” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ramazan AHMADOV from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature. The event was held at the Faculty with the participation of students and academic staff.

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Ramazan AHMADOV examined the position of Azerbaijan within the history of Turkish culture and literature in terms of historical continuity and cultural interaction. He emphasized the significant contributions of Azerbaijan—an integral component of the Turkic world—to the development of the broader Turkish cultural sphere, particularly in the fields of language, literature, and cultural production.

The presentation further addressed both the classical and modern periods of Azerbaijani literature, evaluating prominent literary figures and works, and analyzing their interaction with Turkish literature from a multidimensional perspective. In this context, particular emphasis was placed on the role of historical, linguistic, and literary elements in the formation of a shared cultural heritage.

During the question-and-answer session, participants actively contributed by posing questions regarding Turkic world literature and processes of cultural interaction. The academic exchange enabled the event to conclude in a productive and interactive atmosphere.

At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Prof. Dr. Ramazan AHMADOV by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhittin KAPANŞAHİN, in recognition of his contribution.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Karabük University continues to host such events that enhance academic awareness in the fields of social sciences and humanities while contributing to the intellectual development of students.
