The Spring Semester Meeting of the Department Chairs of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Karabük University was held with the participation of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Muhittin KAPANŞAHİN; the Vice Deans, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat ÇINAR and Dr. Samet GÜVEN; the Faculty Secretary, Ergün BAKIRCIK; and the department chairs.
During the meeting, ongoing quality assurance initiatives and accreditation processes were reviewed, and evaluations were made regarding academic incentives and research-publication performance. Information was also provided concerning the FEDEK accreditation process conducted by the Department of Geography.
Within the scope of educational activities, course schedules, graduate-level practices, thesis supervision processes, and student feedback were discussed. In addition, the effective management of official correspondence procedures, monitoring of research assistants’ working hours, interdepartmental cooperation, double major programs, and institutional communication were addressed.
The meeting concluded with the consideration of suggestions and recommendations.
