A Presentation on “An Overview of Artificial Intelligence and Its Use in Academic Studies” Held at Karabük University
As part of the Wednesday Talks organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Karabük University, Dr. Samet KORKMAZ from the Department of Educational Sciences delivered a presentation titled “An Overview of Artificial Intelligence and Its Use in Academic Studies”. The event took place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Şehit Fırat Yılmaz ÇAKIROĞLU Conference Hall, with the participation of students and academic staff.
In his presentation, Dr. KORKMAZ discussed the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and shared examples of how this technology can be effectively used in academic research. Highlighting the potential of AI to enhance productivity and creativity in scholarly work, he provided practical demonstrations on how artificial intelligence can be integrated into academic processes.
The event continued with a Q&A session, during which participants discussed the impact of AI technologies on education, research, and publication practices. Attendees had the opportunity to share their views and ask questions about the topic.
At the end of the program, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhittin KAPANŞAHİN, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Dr. Samet KORKMAZ for his valuable contribution to the event.
