“Would You Like to Become an Academic?” Information Session Held at Our Faculty
An informative session titled “Would You Like to Become an Academic?” was organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Karabük University to enhance undergraduate students’ awareness of academic career pathways and to encourage them to pursue graduate studies.

The event took place on October 7, 2025, at the Şehit Fırat Yılmaz ÇAKIROĞLU Conference Hall, with Prof. Dr. Ali Çağatay KILINÇ, Chair of the Department of Educational Sciences, as the keynote speaker. The session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Muhittin KAPANŞAHİN, along with faculty members and a large number of undergraduate students.

In his comprehensive presentation, Prof. Dr. KILINÇ addressed the fundamental principles of academic life, the structure of graduate education, and the importance of research culture, ethics, and sustainable scholarly productivity. Emphasizing that an academic career is not merely a profession but a lifelong journey of inquiry, learning, and contribution to society, he provided students with valuable insights to guide them through this process.
