The book titled “Hadrianopolis Bath Complex: Storage Finds” was presented to Prof. Dr. Muhittin KAPANŞAHİN, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin ÇELİKBAŞ, Head of the Department of Archaeology, together with members of the Hadrianopolis Excavation Team.

Edited by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin ÇELİKBAŞ and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rabia AKTAŞ, the volume provides a comprehensive examination of the storage-related finds uncovered during archaeological excavations conducted at the Bath Complex of the Ancient City of Hadrianopolis. The study presents these materials to the academic community through detailed typological, functional, and chronological analyses.

During the presentation, particular emphasis was placed on the academic significance of the book, which systematically documents the scientific outcomes of the Hadrianopolis excavations and offers valuable insights into daily life practices, production processes, and storage activities within the ancient city. The book titled “Hadrianopolis Bath Complex: Storage Finds” focuses on the archaeological materials recovered from the storage area of the Bath Complex during excavation campaigns carried out between 2023 and 2025 at Hadrianopolis, a city located in the Paphlagonia Region. The study examines and interprets a wide range of finds, including ceramic vessels, coins, grains, metal objects, and textile remains, through archaeological analyses.
All materials uncovered in the storage area are discussed in detail under the following thematic sections: Ceramics, Metal Objects, Excavations of the Bath Complex, Coins, Determination of the Viability of Ancient Grains, Characterization of Carbonized Textile Fibers, Cultural and Artistic Evaluation of the Finds from the Hadrianopolis Bath Complex, Evaluation of Copper Vessels: Material, Deterioration, and Conservation, and Assessment of Ceramic Production Techniques.
